Ritmos Spring Workshop & Fiesta with Ethan Wagner

Ritmos Latinos presents a day of Cuban dance workshops, followed by the Spring Fiesta!  We are excited to welcome guest instructor Ethan Wagner from New York City. In addition to his dancing and teaching skills, Ethan brings his sense of humor, which is sure to keep everyone entertained.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Ethan is a danceyboi from New York who you may know from the September 1997 edition of Enchufla Monthly, when he was featured as the magazine’s cover model.  Among his many accolades are the time his grandmother awarded him the “Best Dancer in the Family” prize on his 7th birthday.  He has twice campaigned for the position of Vice President of W.A.R.N. (World Association of Rueda Nerds).  Both times, he was defeated.

Ethan takes great pride in teaching his students to dance well, mostly so that when they go out in public and say who they learned from, they won't embarrass him.  Ethan cares very much what other people think and deeply craves external validation, according to his therapist, whom he refuses to see any longer.  One fun fact is that Ethan's shoulders are not symmetrical; he prefers if students don't mention this in class, as it can be distracting to the other students as well as to the teacher.

Workshops are open to dancers who learned the basics of casino (guapea, dile que no, enchufe, vacilala, p'abajo, exhibela)

FIESTA

8:30 pm - Absolute Beginner lesson

Bring your friends who don't know how to dance yet, and show them what it is all about :)

9 pm - 12 am - dance the night away!

Dress to impress and get ready to party! The best timba, salsa, son, bachata, merengue and more!

The fiesta and absolute beginner lesson are free and open to public!
