Ritmos Summer Workshop & Fiesta with Diana Ruiz

Ritmos Latinos presents a day of Cuban dance workshops, followed by the Summer Fiesta!  We are excited to welcome guest instructor Diana Ruiz from  Boston! 

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Diana Ruiz is a Mexican-born dancer, instructor, and choreographer whose passion for Rueda de Casino began a decade ago after moving to Boston, Massachusetts.

During the academic year, she teaches casino and rueda with MIT Casino Rueda and Boston Rueda, and she helps organize Rueda in the Pahk, a beloved Sunday summer tradition in Cambridge. Diana also leads Despelote Boston, a vibrant, diverse community of dancers united by their love of Cuban dance.

In the past year, Diana has been invited to teach at Rueday (NY), RuedX Cincinnati, RuedX Delaware, Boston Cuban Dance Festival, Cubason, Rueda Vacation in Cozumel, and the Rueda Congress in Austria.

She’s known for her high-energy rueda calling and her knock-it-out-of-Fenway-park teaching style. Diana brings joy, laughter, and just the right amount of “fly mentiras” to keep everyone on their toes. Don’t miss the chance to take her workshops—you’ll leave smiling, sweating, and wanting more!

Workshops are open to dancers who learned the basics of casino (guapea, dile que no, enchufe, vacilala, p'abajo, exhibela)

FIESTA

8:30 pm - Absolute Beginner lesson

Bring your friends who don't know how to dance yet, and show them what it is all about :)

9 pm - 12 am - dance the night away!

Dress to impress and get ready to party! The best timba, son, salsa, bachata and more!

The fiesta and absolute beginner lesson are free and open to public!
